PG Hardware
Many of my limits are due to my current hardware. I am constantly upgrading and improving my pipeline.
Name | Spec | Pros | Cons |
---|---|---|---|
PG Desktop Tower | i7 3.1ghz 6 core 32gb of ram 1tb SSD, 12tb HDD storage, GTX 1660 Super | Workhorse, great for automation and storage | Old, Slow |
ThinkPad Workstation Laptop | i7 2.6ghz 6 core 32gb of ram 2tb m.2, RTX 3000 | Mobile, Workhorse, still room to upgrade | Not maxed out |
Canon T3i | 18MP, 20mm prime polarized | DSLR, polarized, cinematic, good for reference and photography | Old, low megapixels, slow |
Pixel 8 Pro | 50MP | The best megapixels available to me, especially for the price | Can't be polarized, no SD card so transfering is slow |
The Pixel 8 Pro is my main capture device at the moment and the results have been great. I want to upgrade to the Sony a7R V to get that 61mp. The biggest drawback with the Pixel 8 Pro is the lack of being able to polarize so shiny dielectric surfaces will always be a problem.
